About Tideswell Theatre

Tideswell Theatre was established in 2002 to bring great theatre, music, dance and comedy to the village, run by Tideswell Community Players.

The Players have been performing plays in this Peak District village since 1930.

As Tideswell Theatre it was a leading promoter for the rural touring scheme, Live and Local, bringing professional theatre, dance, music and comedy to the village since 2002 as well as contracting direct with performers.

After a break for a few years due to the loss of their venue, they are now bringing shows to the village again!

Public Transport

Tideswell is a village in the Peak District. Public transport is limited, especially in the evenings. There are bus services to and from the village and train stations at Buxton and Hope. Failing that, there are various taxi firms locally (search yellow pages or the internet). We always recommend sharing transport to our shows, better still walking or cycling (especially if you live locally).

Accommodation

There is a good range of local accommodation available in Tideswell and surrounding villages.  Details can be found on https://visittideswell.co.uk
