Up to their usual standard?
Oh dear dear dearie me, The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society will perform one of their efforts at the fantastically restored Fountain Square Church on Thursday 10th to Saturday 12th of October. It’s a murder whodunit apparently.
The most frightful aspect of this whole affair is that you are EXPECTED to attend. Hopefully, you were unaware of their last play when Sylvia Frobisher, never that quick on her feet, was concussed by a piece of collapsing scenery, poor love? Thankfully she’s on the mend and started forming sentences which was more than she could do when acting before the accident, as seen in her previous part as a confused Lady Macbeth.
Let’s all cross our fingers and hope that this performance doesn’t descend into chaos like last year’s performance of A Christmas Carol…bless them every one. So perhaps we’ll see you there unless you can think up a reason to be somewhere else those nights. Personally, I’ll be washing my hair.
